Fatty Liver Disease Rates Increasing in Teens

One out of every 10 children between the ages of 12 to 18 has fatty liver disease. New research has shown that the number of adolescents diagnosed with fatty liver disease has tripled over the last decade.

Fatty liver disease is associated with childhood obesity and has been tied to other complications later in life including diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer.
